Welcome to Working Hands Foundation

Our Vision Working Hands Foundation (WHF) is a not-for-profit organization located in the United States that focuses on providing food, clothing and various other items to people in various communities who are in the greatest need. Through our ability to create meaningful relationships between people and businesses who do not have the time, but are able to help by providing finances and/or donated items, and those volunteers who may not have funds to donate, but are able to give of their time, energy, talents and human resources, we are able to bridge the gap that allow us to meet the needs of the needy. We plan to grow these relationships throughout the country, in order to provide assistance to targeted communities, throughout the Caribbean, and to various other neglected parts of the globe. Our long-term vision is to establish resources and manpower to build orphanages, homes and shelters for those people who are most vulnerable and in the greatest need, while developing and implementing programs in an effort to teach them basic skills and to create self-reliance. We will achieve this by the following: Pay the widows reasonable wages to oversee and care for the orphaned children, to hold classes for the orphans; This will be achieved through an education program developed to educate both the widows and the children in their care; Teach the widows and the children to plant and grow vegetables and fruits; WHF will provide them with seeds, regional agricultural training, and various gardening and other tools they will need to be self sufficient; Teach them self-love and appreciation, and how to create a better life for themselves; And last, develop a program that will offer various types of counseling and crises management for children and adults that have suffered various types of abuse. Our Mission The mission of Working Hands Foundation is to create relationships between the community, businesses, and volunteers that will provide access to a variety of resources that will help us to: Feed and cloth the hungry, Care for orphans, Help the widows, and Teach men and women how to be self sufficient Our aim is to Empower needy individuals, by not only meeting their immediate needs for food, clothing and shelter, but to also educate them on how to become self-sufficient. We believe that it is not only important to "give a man a fish", so he can eat for a day, but to "teach him how to fish" so he can eat for a lifetime.
